CAWC Charity Christmas Bazaar Returns for 39th Year After Raising nearly £30,000 for Local Charities

The third annual HP9 Artists Art Show returns to Beaconsfield Town Hall on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September, bringing together professional artists and makers from across the HP9 postcode.

Tinsel, Tiaras and the Spirit of Giving return to Gerrards Cross this November

The much-loved CAWC Charity Christmas Bazaar returns to Gerrards Cross on Sunday, 8 November 2026 for its 39th year, following last year’s fundraising success of close to £30,000 in support of our chosen charities, Scannappeal and Robin Sings Trust.

More than 60 carefully selected independent retailers, artisan makers and food producers will come together at the Crowne Plaza Gerrards Cross for a festive day of shopping, food and fundraising, all organised entirely by volunteers from the Chiltern American Women’s Club (CAWC).

This year’s theme, Tinsel & Tiaras, will bring a little extra sparkle to an event that has become a firm fixture in the local festive calendar.

Following the success of last year’s partnership, CAWC is delighted to once again support Scannappeal. Every pound raised will stay local, helping Scannappeal fund life-changing equipment and projects for Buckinghamshire’s NHS hospitals and supporting patients and families across the county.

Louisa Keating, Co-Chair of the Chiltern American Women’s Club, said:

“The Bazaar has always been about bringing our community together at the start of the festive season. There is something very special about seeing so many volunteers, local businesses and visitors come together, and knowing that every ticket, raffle entry, slice of cake and gift hamper helps support local patients makes the day even more meaningful.”

For 39 years, the Bazaar has brought together local businesses, volunteers and visitors from across the Chilterns and surrounding areas, combining independent shopping with some much-loved traditions created by CAWC members themselves.

Among the highlights are the Bazaar’s beautifully presented themed Christmas gift hampers, assembled over many weeks by volunteers and eagerly snapped up each year as gifts for teachers, neighbours, friends, family and colleagues.

Visitors can also look forward to the ever-popular American Bake Sale, Texas Chili Café, Grande Raffle, Silent Auction, Spin To Win and Style Re-Run, along with a new Gift Wrapping Station, helping shoppers leave with beautifully wrapped presents while raising additional funds for Scannappeal.

The festive atmosphere beFlyer-for-cawc-christmas-bazaar-2026gins as soon as visitors arrive, with the Bazaar’s signature themed Christmas tree, designed and decorated by club members to bring this year’s Tinsel & Tiaras theme to life.

Behind the scenes, hundreds of volunteer hours go into making the event possible. CAWC members generously donate and collect donations, organise the exhibitors, arrange sponsorships, create gift hampers, bake delicious treats, prepare authentic chili, and work throughout the day to ensure visitors receive a warm and friendly welcome.

Visitors may come for the shopping, but many return year after year for the welcoming atmosphere, familiar traditions and genuine sense of community that have been at the heart of the Bazaar for nearly four decades.

As Christmas approaches, the 39th Annual CAWC Charity Christmas Bazaar offers a day where community, generosity and festive tradition come together — and where every visitor can help make a difference.
